Corporate Partnership Program
should ever go down
The Re-Purpose New Jersey (RNJ) Corporate Partnership program is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to make your clothing business more sustainable. RNJ will collect returned, damaged, out-of-season, or otherwise disposable clothing and shoes from department stores, boutiques, thrift shops, and other fashion retailers at no cost, and provide your business with tax-deductible receipts for donations.
The textiles will provide resources for natural disaster victims and wealth-challenged families, and is an exceptional way for your company to give back to the community with minimal effort and no cost.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Your business Puts aside clothes to donate
It's as easy as setting aside out-of-season, returned, or any other item that would otherwise be disposed of by your store. Your business avoids all of the costs and headache of disposing of the items, as RNJ covers it all.
2. Schedule Convenient pickup time
When your store is ready for pickup, call our toll-free number or email us. We also set up weekly, monthly, or seasonal pickup dates and times with our partners who have more regular "clean-out" needs. RNJ works with our business partners to schedule times that do not conflict with customer traffic or store operations.
3. RNJ picks up the donation At no cost
Our Re-Purpose New Jersey box truck arrives at your store to pick up the donation, with all moving and loading handled by us. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donation electronically the same day as pickup.
4. Donated clothes and Shoes are "Re-Purposed"
The clothes, shoes, handbags, and other items you donate are sorted by us. Depending on the condition, some of these items will directly benefit wealth-challenged families in need of a clean coat or new pair of shoes. Others will be "re-purposed" into items like blankets or insulation. Others still directly fund the preservation and cleanup of open space in New Jersey.
It is estimated that over 5 billion pounds of returned items are sent to the landfill each year. How much does this cost your business per year? Partnering with RNJ means not only immediate savings, but the ability to receive tax-deductions for your donation.
There are many notable programs cropping up in the food industry to provide usable produce to the hungry instead of wasting these resources in the landfill. We are working to achieve a similar model in the fashion industry - will your business join us?
